Well what can I say today, except for WOW. I’ve honestly never felt so loved and supported in all of my life, and here is why. I have had non stop visitors today for my birthday; many of whom brought gifts (and didn’t need to by any means), balloons, cake, tea, etc. Mack came to surprise me this morning, which was the best too. But just a few minutes ago, something pretty amazing happened. The entire 3rd floor staff here stood outside my window with giant signs saying “Happy Birthday Mary” on one side, and “Strong Like Buell” on the other. I. BALLED. MY. EYES. OUT.
I love my Seidman family here so much. For them to take the time out of their very busy days to do something like that…for me….just to make my shitty time spent here a bit less shitty…..well, there is a special place in heaven for people like all of you.
I felt better when I woke up this morning too, which was an added bonus. I wish I had some whitty stories or one liners to type right now, but I’m just too much in shock! So thank you so so so much to all of my friends, family, coworkers, hospital staff; everyone–who texted, called, visited, emailed, and held signs for me out in the rain. You have truly made this the most special birthday that I’ve ever had. Here’s to 32. Maybe you won’t be so bad after all!!
